Many of us are settling indoors now that the colder temperatures have arrived. It’s easy to add a little warmth to your space with a few tricks that make your home feel extra cozy, without shelling out a ton of money.
A Throw or Blanket
I love the look of adding a faux fur throw to a chair or footstool. A faux-fur throw looks and feels incredibly luxurious and adds instant warmth. To continue adding this coziness to your bedroom, simply swap out cotton sheets for warm flannels, and add an extra blanket between your sheet and duvet. Don’t forget to drape a plush blanket over the corner of your bed like this one to add warmth and plushness to your space.
Candles
Candles and candle holders are another great inexpensive way to add a warm ambiance to your home. Look for scents that scream warmth, like fresh baked cookies and a cozy fire. Bath and Body Works, always have amazing winter choices to make your house smell warm and cozy like hot cocoa, marshmallow fireside, and flannel.
Warm Drinks
There’s nothing like a warm cup of tea on a cool winter's day. I love having a warm cup of my favourite Starbucks drink, curled up under a blanket, and reading a good book. Starbucks has a great selection of tranquil teas to be enjoyed at home, as well as some of their winter drink favourites like Peppermint Mocha Latte. Mmmm what’s not to love?
Skin Care Rescue
Another great way to escape the cold is jumping into a hot bath with your favourite Body Shop bath scents. Check out the limited edition holiday scents like Warm Vanilla Bath/Shower gel After the bath make sure to add some moisture to your skin with Festive Berry Body Butter to keep your skin silky soft all winter long. One of my favourite weekend pick-me-ups for my face is the Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening mask, enriched with a powerful blend of coffee beans, this mask adds warmth and gently exfoliates your skin, helping reduce the signs of fatigue, and it smells like a fresh cup of coffee!
