A visit to the park can offer two things at once – active play for the kids and a workout for you. With a little creative imagination, the playground provides endless possibilities for fitness fun!

  • The monkey bars, benches, swings,  and even slides can be used to bring  your workout to the next level, and  mimic some of the equipment you  would find in the gym.
  • A park bench, despite its lack of  padding, can be effective for box jumps, lunges and step ups.
  • Use the slide for core and plank work,  including easier positioning for tricep  pushups.
  • Bars are ideal for chin ups and lower  ab work, like leg lifts. Add a personal challenge to see how long you can hang on!
