Natalie Bianconi adopts the attitude of 'wear your party dress any day of the week' when dressing her table. Natalie goes all out, whether it’s a simple dessert spread or a formal dinner. “My Irish and Italian background means entertaining in our home is a frequent occurrence,” offers the designer and mom of two boys, adding, “this passion has remained through generations as my grandmother was well known for her elegantly-dressed tables.”

Whether feeding her family of four or gathering a crowd, pulling collected dishes and glassware from cupboards, Natalie has no trouble mixing and matching so that her tablescape always offers intrigue for the eye. By mixing metals and adding decorative glassware, the table will always provide something to draw the eye to the carefully curated details while serving a functional purpose. “Various heights and styles in crystal glasses provide an element of interest,” assures Natalie.

Natalie takes care to honour each season by combining seasonal flowers and food items within her tabletop décor. She begins with a neutral palette and then injects colour as she sees fit to suit the event's occasion, season, and overall mood. For spring and summer, table décor colours come in soft and then fire up as the temperature outside increases to produce deeper greens and brighter coloured flowers.

“I especially like flowers and greenery in my table settings as they add great beauty, colour, and elegance. A specific flower choice and colour can also help strengthen a seasonal concept,” she advises.
