What is your speciality? Oatmeal. And at night from Wed-Sat Scotch.
A fun fact about your business? We are the only oatmeal cafe in the country. We are the only single malt/scotch lounge in the country.
What will you miss day to day about your business, aside from the business aspect? Well only the Scotch Lounge is closed. Oat Couture Cafe is open for takeaway and delivery. We extended our hours and beefed up our menu.
Anything else Ottawans should know about your business? We are open for takeaway and delivery only. No dine-in. People still need to eat. They hate to cook and grocery stores look like a flash mobs. Our operation is far more frequently sanitized than grocery stores. We have extended our hours and we have expanded our takeaway and delivery menus. Next up is curbside pickup service. It’s a tough call to stay open or close, and one made in concert with our staff. But in the end we didn’t want to lay off 17 kids, most of whom are students and living paycheque to paycheque. Everyone has their own reasons for staying open or closing but that’s where we are.
