Pop-Up boutiques aren’t new to the retail scene during the holiday season but a newly opened shop on Beechwood is breaking ground in an area of the city that has been crying out for some upscale retail.
Vincent, a trendy upscale fashion boutique located on Preston Street, has joined forces with Valamode, a luxury online consignment store, to feed into the need in the Rockcliffe/Vanier area. This neighborhood is targeted to be the next trendy hood in the capital and Vincent store owners (sisters) Angie and Amanda Cambareri and Valamode’s Dia Shams are cutting edge with this two-month location.
The sisters aren’t recreating what they have on Preston but addressing a need in the Beechwood area.
“The Pop-Up on Beechwood is an extension of the shop that we currently have on Preston Street. There are exclusive pieces at Beechwood that are not at Preston” states Angie.
Valamode has a strong online following and clientele base and brings in another dimension with high end luxury, designer and haute couture brands like classic favourites with vintage Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, Burberry, Prada.
The shop space sits below The Kavanaugh, Domicle Developments condo building on Beechwood. The space is bright and open and ideal for upscale retail in the heart of Beechwood Village.
Keep an eye on this upcoming area. Ottawa At Home shares more on the changing face of Beechwood Village and Vanier in our winter issue, out February 17, 2017.
