A classic burger, with a twist! Serve it with chips, salsa and Margaritas and you've got a fiesta happening!
Prep time: 15 minutes

BBQ time: 8-10 minutes
Serve on buns or in lettuce leaves
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb (454g) lean ground beef
2 tbsp (30 mL) taco seasoning
Small red onion, cut into rings
Tomato slices
Lettuce
Pickled jalapeño peppers
sliced hamburger buns
Avocado Aioli:
1/4 cup (50 mL) mayonnaise
1/2 avocado, mashed
1 tbsp (15 mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp (5 mL) minced garlic
METHOD:
In medium bowl combine beef and taco seasoning. Divide mixture into 4 and form into patties. Refrigerate until ready to BBQ.
In small bowl combine mayonnaise, avocado, lemon juice and garlic. Purée to desired smoothness using hand immersion blender or fork. Refrigerate until serving time.
Preheat BBQ to 400F. Grill burgers for 4 minutes each side or until internal temperature reaches minimum 165F.
Serve on bun or lettuce leaves. Garnish with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeños and avocado aioli. Garnish with tomato slices and jalapeño.
