WHAT: Custom-made slipcovers for sofas and chairs in need of a fresh new look. With an abundance of fabrics to choose from and a plethora of custom pillows to coordinate and liven up the look, this charming home-style boutique might be the answer to a tired room's plea for change.
BEHIND THE SCENES: Owner Manon LeBlanc started the business in 2001 and remains hands-on. A typical experience includes a visit to the client's home to measure and prepare a pattern, and then customers are encouraged to visit the Chelsea store to choose fabric. The turnover time from start to finish is about three weeks. Slipcovers are all pre-washed and patterns are saved on file for future orders. Sofas, window seats, dining chairs, and outdoor furniture can all be easily transformed.
