With its network of more than 75 km of mechanically groomed trails for cross-country skiing and 14 km of trails for Nordic skiing, the Mont-Tremblant region welcomes skiers from all over the country throughout the winter season.
Maintained by the Ski de Fond Mont-Tremblant organization (http://www.skidefondmont-tremblant.com/), the trails are spread out over an area of more than 25 sq. km of forests, meadows, lakes, streams and the majestic Devil’s River. Many birds and animals, including the white-tailed deer, which you might catch a glimpse of on your outing, inhabit this Laurentian territory.
Two of the trails are bordered by information panels about local wildlife and plants, for the enjoyment of young and old. Be sure to stock up on sunflower seeds at the reception centre so you can feed the chickadees.
Located just an hour and 45 minutes by car from Ottawa, Mont-Tremblant is the perfect destination for your excursions with friends or for your family vacations!
